March 28th,1912 Marina Raskova was born into a middle class family; her father was an opera singer, and her mother was a teacher.
1919 Raskova witnessed her father’s death and decided to follow in his footsteps by studying theater. 1931 She started working in the Aero Navigation Laboratory of the Air Force Academy as a draftswoman and pursued professions in the Soviet army 1933 Raskova becomes the first female in the Soviet Union to pass the aviation exam 1934 Teaches in Zhukovsky Air Academy. 1938 Record-breaking flight across Siberia 1939 German-Soviet Nonaggression Pact June 22nd, 1941 Operation Barbarossa Summer of 1941 Formation of the Night Witches January 4th, 1943 Raskova's death |
